We believe that being upfront with patients is the only way to run a dental practice. Consequently, the following frequently asked questions are answered completely and honestly so you can make the right choice when deciding on your next dentist in Durango.

IS LASER DENTISTRY MORE EXPENSIVE?

No, it is not. We do not charge more for the laser. People may actually save money because the laser is often more efficient, that means appointments are usually shorter so less work is missed. There are however, specific treatments which can only be completed by the laser for which there may be an associated cost.

WHAT IS YOUR PRACTICE PHILOSOPHY?

When Dr. Miner founded his practice, he did so with a desire to make it a family-friendly place. We encourage all our team members to give back to the community and always keep the patients’ needs top priority. We will listen to you, and recommend treatments that meet your individual needs.

WILL IT HURT WHEN I GO TO THE DENTIST?

We do not think that dental treatments should be uncomfortable. To help our patients become more relaxed, the office atmosphere is specifically designed for their comfort. Additionally, we offer sedation dentistry for those who have dental anxiety in Durango, CO.

HOW WILL I PAY FOR MY TREATMENTS?

We offer many different types of payment options, including an introduction to third-party financing if you do not have insurance. Remember that you will be responsible for any co-pays or deductibles.

WHEN IS YOUR OFFICE OPEN?

Our office is open Monday through Thursday, and we offer evening hours to accommodate patients who cannot leave work to come to the dentist. One Friday per month, we are open from 8 a.m. until noon.

DO YOU HAVE EMERGENCY APPOINTMENTS?

If you need an appointment the same day you call, we will do whatever possible to fit you into the schedule.

DO YOU OFFER APPOINTMENT REMINDERS?

Yes – we send out reminder cards when you have made an appointment.

WILL MY INSURANCE COVER THE PROCEDURE?

We take whatever dental insurance you have. As a courtesy to you we will file your insurance for you. Patients are responsible for any co-pay, deductible, or amounts their insurance does not cover.

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

We offer payment plans through CareCredit and Citi Health Card. They offer short term interest free plans and long term plans with interest.

WHAT DAYS ARE YOU IN THE OFFICE?

We are in the office Monday thru Thursday. We are also open one Friday a month, generally the second Friday from 8-12.

DO YOU OFFER SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS?

If you have an emergency, we will try our best to fit you into the schedule that day. If it is a routine appointment, we will offer you a same day appointment if space is available.

WILL YOUR OFFICE REMIND ME WHEN I AM DUE FOR A CHECK UP?

Yes, we will remind you of your appointment through text messaging and emails. If you do not have an email address, phone reminders can be set up.

WILL I NEED TO GO TO A SPECIALIST(S) AFTER I VISIT DR. MINER?

Dr. Miner provides a variety of procedures in his office. Dr. Miner will let you know and give you a referral to a specialist if needed.
